ASIA TIQUE

Asiatique The Riverfront is the first waterfront open-air night market in Bangkok that features restaurants and Bangkok shopping experience in one place on the banks of the Chao Phraya river.

This shopping complex is developed under the theme of ‘the living museum’ to show tourists about the history and Bangkok’s way of living in the past.  This area was once a bustling international trade port that belonged to the East Asiatic Company. The old warehouses have been refurbished and transformed into a shopping complex. Asiatique’s iconic Ferris wheel, ‘Asiatique Sky’, is a large Ferris wheel with air-conditioned cabins. You will marvel at the spectacular bird’s eye views of Bangkok city and Chao Phraya River at night at the height of 60 meters.

Asiatique becomes Bangkok’s main tourist destination because the place offers a great variety of shopping and dining experience. This lively night market houses hundreds of shops and restaurants that feature a great choice of casual dining restaurants, bars, fast food restaurants, street food stalls, dessert shops, clothing stores, toy stores, souvenir shops, creative arts and crafts shops, etc. Tourists also come to Asiatique for photoshooting since there are many spots set up for photo opportunities. Another popular spot is Asiatique’s waterfront boardwalk where visitors can enjoy a leisure stroll along the riverside. Asiatique The Riverfront’s restaurants are lined up around the waterfront district with many Thai and international casual and fine dining restaurants and bars.

Besides from shopping and dining complex, there is also an entertainment complex that features shows from Calypso cabaret, Muay Thai Live – Muay Thai boxing stage show, and the Thai puppets by Joe Louis Theatre.

Asiatique is definitely worth spending an evening to.
